In memory of Rajan Laddu, 1995-2020

The department is mourning the passing of Rajan Laddu, a one-of-a-kind Classics major who graduated in May 2017. Rajan was an enthusiastic student of Latin and Classics from middle and high school in Florida all the way through college and afterward. He received the Weltin Prize for Excellence in the Study of Ancient History at graduation, but after college began to pursue his real lifelong dream of a medical career, and recently entered a program at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.

Rajan was an inquisitive student, a regular at department gatherings and in the undergraduate study room, an authority on classically-themed films and TV, and a gentle soul who will always be fondly remembered.

If you knew Rajan, please consider visiting his obituary page for his family's loving tribute and suggestion for honoring Rajan's memory with a charitable gift.
