Constantine Karathanasis accepted to American School of Classical Studies at Athens

Advanced PhD student to join other awardees in intensive participatory program at a venerable institution

After a rigorous application and examination process, Constantine Karathanasis has been accepted to the American School of Classical Studies at Athens as a Regular Member for the academic year 2019-2020. He has also been awarded a Philip Lockhart Fellowship as support for the experience. He will spend next year in residence in Athens along with 15-20 other advanced graduate students from a variety of fields, participating in an intensive survey of the art, archaeology, history, and topography of Greece, from antiquity to the present and visiting the principal archaeological sites and museums of Greece. He will also have some time to forge ahead with research on his dissertation on politics in Greek comedy.
