Tim Moore organized and directed this year’s Symposium Cumanum at the Villa Vergiliana in Cuma, Italy for the Vergilian Society. The topic was “Music in the Time of Vergil,” and about thirty scholars of ancient music and Augustan Poetry from around the world participated. While in Europe he also delivered a paper entitled “Musical Medeas” at the annual MOISA Music School in Riva del Garda, Italy and another entitled “Stinging Auloi: Aristophanes, Acharnians 860-869” at the annual meeting of MOISA in Athens (MOISA is the international professional society for students of ancient Greek and Roman music).
