As my primary research interest, I explore the socio-cultural significance of Greek performance, both in public (i.e. dramatic and dithyrambic competitions, street side-shows) and private settings (i.e. symposia). Thus my research spans across textual sources, such as Greek comedy, lyric poetry, and sympotic literature, as well as material sources, particularly vase paintings depicting actors, chorus members, musicians, acrobats, and other entertainers. This specific research stems from my broader interests in social history and gender studies.
