William Sieving (MA Student, Classics) Receives Kevin Herbert Memorial Award

Classics MA student William Sieving has received the Kevin Herbert Memorial Award from the John and Penelope Biggs Department of Classics. He will use the award to attend the 31st International Congress of Papyrology in Cologne, Germany. The knowledge and networking gained through the congress will contribute to Sieving’s ongoing work in the conservation and study of the collection of papyri from Roman Egypt owned by the Biggs Department of Classics and housed in Special Collections in Olin Library.

The Kevin Herbert Memorial Fund, established to commemorate Kevin Herbert, longtime Professor and Chair of Classics at WashU, funds internships and travel for undergraduate and graduate students in Classics.
