WashU Classics Club Presents Staged Reading of Antigone

On February 13th, the WashU Classics Club took on a new challenge with a staged reading of Sophocles’ Antigone. While the group has traditionally performed ancient comedies, this marked their first foray into Greek tragedy.

Students and attendees praised the performance for being movine and thought-provoking.

With the success of Antigone, the WashU Classics Club may have opened the door for more dramatic performances in the future.
