Washington University papyri feature prominently in new papyrology publication

The 2018 Summer Institute of the American Society of Papyrologists, hosted at Washington University and focused on papyri in Olin Library's Julian Edison Department of Special Collections, has published a number of its findings. Issue 57 (2020) of the Bulletin of the American Society of Papyrologists features an introduction by Dr. Todd Hickey, who led the Summer Institute, as well as articles by seven of its international student participants on ten pieces from the collection. These papyri include house leases, contracts and delivery receipts for wine and other goods, orders for payment, petitions, letters, astronomical texts, and other valuable evidence about everyday life in late antique Egypt.
