Tim Moore, John and Penelope Biggs Distinguished Professor of Classics, has become one of the few classicists to be honored with a Latin ovatio from the Classical Association of the Middle West and South. The Latin ovationes are a tradition of the CAMWS Annual Meeting banquet and awards ceremony, and this year’s three ovationes were delivered at the virtual CAWMS closing ceremonies by the current CAMWS orator, David White of Baylor University. The speech narrated Professor Moore’s education, teaching career, scholarly pursuits, and service to the profession.
