Members of department to participate in upcoming CAMWS Annual Meeting in Lincoln

PhD student Marleigh Anderson will deliver the paper “‘Not Fitting for a Symposium’: The Problem of Female Acrobatics” at the Women in Antiquity paper session on Thursday, April 4th, 8:00-9:45am in Lancaster IV.

Cathy Keane will deliver the paper “Check Those References: Quotation, simplicitas, and Image-Making in Martial Epigrams 11” at the Martial paper session on Friday, April 5th, 10:00-11:45am in Yankee Hill I-II. She will also chair the Statius’ Thebaid II paper session on the same day from 8:00-9:45am in Lancaster IV.

Zoe Stamatopoulou will deliver the paper “The Education of the Ruler in Plutarch’s Symposium of the Seven Sages” at the Plutarch paper session on Friday, April 5th, 1:30-3:00pm in Heritage. She will also chair the Heliodorus’ Aithiopika paper session on Thursday, April 4th, 8:00-9:45am in Olive Branch.

Last but not least, Tom Keeline’s book The Reception of Cicero in the Early Roman Empire is featured in the Member Book Display and will be honored with a CAMWS First Book Award at the Business Meeting on Saturday, April 6th. 8:00-9:45am in Yankee Hill III!
