The John and Penelope Biggs Department of Classics is pleased to welcome Dr. Alexander Free of the Ludwigs-Maximilians Universitāt, Munich. Supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Dr. Free will join Honorary Professor of Classics Roger Bagnall, MA student Will Sieving, and colleagues in the WashU Libraries in work on the conservation, photography, and editing of the collection of papyri owned by the department and housed in Special Collections of Olin Library.
