The department is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Eleanor Winsor Leach, Ruth N. Halls Professor in the Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University at Bloomington and our Biggs Family Resident in Classics in spring of 2000. Professor Leach was to have been our guest again this April at the Biggs Residency Reunion colloquium. Her legacy of scholarship, teaching, and mentoring will be honored at the event.
