Penelope Biggs Travel Award

The Penelope Biggs Travel award, funded by John Biggs in memory of his wife Penelope Biggs, assists faculty from any department, and students from any department who have course work in Classics, Art History & Archaeology, or Philosophy, as they travel for research and study involving Greco-Roman antiquity.

An exciting new award for faculty and student travel related to Greco-Roman antiquity.
Those eligible:

  • Faculty whose travel involves the study of Greco-Roman antiquity.
  • Graduate and Undergraduate students whose travel includes the study of Greco-Roman antiquity, who have majors, minors, or course work in the Departments of Classics, Philosophy, or Art History and Archaeology

The Penelope Biggs Travel award was funded to support travel of undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty studying Greco-Roman Antiquity. This fund is part of John Bigg's effort to commemorate his late wife and continue her love of Classics.
