The WashU Classics Club brought ancient drama to life with an English-language performance of Euripides’ Medea. Held in the Danforth University Center, the event combined theatrical passion with community spirit — and plenty of pizza.

The performance drew a number of enthusiastic new participants, many of whom were experiencing Greek tragedy for the first time. The cast, composed of Classics Club members and newcomers, delivered a rendition of the timeless tale of betrayal and revenge.

Club organizers noted the surge in interest and participation, calling it a promising sign for future events.

With food, drama, and a shared love of the ancient world, the evening was a resounding success — proving once again that the classics are anything but outdated.
