Professor Aravecchia's hefty book, Ain el-Gedida: 2006-2008 Excavations of a Late Antique Site in Egypt's Western Desert includes contributions from a large research team and presents the primary evidence from the archaeological excavations at a late Roman rural settlement, also an important site for the study of early Egyptian Christianity.
