We’re also pleased to announce that Justin will continue to teach with us this fall. He will be offering:
CLASSICS 3077-01 – From the Renaissance to Nazi Germany: Ancient Greece and Rome in German Nationalism
Tuesdays & Thursdays | 2:30 PM – 3:50 PM
This writing-intensive course explores how German thinkers from the Renaissance through the Nazi era turned to Ancient Greece and Rome to shape national identity. Students will examine how classical antiquity was interpreted, reimagined, and sometimes distorted to serve political and ideological ends. Key themes include identity, authority, tolerance, and the enduring power—and peril—of classical culture in shaping modern history.
Please join us in congratulating Justin on this exciting opportunity—and don’t miss the chance to take his thought-provoking course this fall!
