Dr. Bryan Y. Norton earned his PhD in Classics from Washington University in St. Louis in December 2025. His research focuses on Greek lyric poetry, with particular attention to Pindar, questions of tradition and innovation, and the role of ancestry and time in lyric composition. His work brings together close literary analysis with broader questions about poetic memory, cultural inheritance, and the making of the classical past.
