Tim Moore Explores the Music of Antigone at John Burroughs School

Tim Moore recently visited James Lowe’s Classical literature class at John Burroughs School to discuss the role of music in Sophocles’ Antigone. Moore highlighted how musical elements provide structure and reinforce the play’s central themes, offering students a deeper appreciation of ancient drama. His visit was part of the John and Penelope Biggs Department of Classics’ outreach program at Washington University in St. Louis. Educators and community leaders interested in similar presentations or department visits are encouraged to contact classics@wustl.edu.
