The department is thrilled to share the news that Luis Salas has been granted tenure with promotion to Associate Professor, as of July 1 of this year. Professor Salas is an accomplished scholar, author of a book and numerous articles on Galen’s medical writings, a thoughtful teacher and mentor (and creator of the popular annual course on Ancient Greek and Roman Medicine), and a valuable member of the departmental community. We look forward to the years to come, and congratulate Professor Salas on his hard work!
