Classics students take part in role-playing game
During the last two weeks of the spring semester, the students in the "Age of Pericles" class engaged in a role-playing game that takes place in Athens after the end of the Peloponnesian War and the fall of the Thirty Tyrants. Under the guidance of Prof. McClelland and Prof. Stamatopoulou, the students held assemblies in which they debated and voted on issues that were central to Athenian politics at the time, such as the definition of Athenian citizenship and whether the state should subsidize the citizens participating in the Assembly of the People.
