C. W. Marshall is Professor of Greek at the University of British Columbia. He researches and publishes on Greek and Roman theater and stagecraft, translations and adaptations of ancient theater, and Classics in popular culture. He is the author of The Stagecraft and Performance of Roman Comedy (Cambridge, 2006), The Structure and Performance of Euripides’ Helen (Cambridge, 2014), and Aeschylus: Libation Bearers (Bloomsbury, 2017), as well as six co-edited volumes and scores of articles on the above topics. Over the past thirty-plus years he has also directed, acted in, and served as dramaturg for numerous performances and readings, and has performed with improv groups.
